MightyL - They are all MSM3100 but only some phones access all the features? There
is a pretty clear step up in standby time and talk time and voice recognition
between the Kyocera 3035 and the 2035 -- but you think they both use the
same chip?

In any case I still have a QCP2760 thin phone and haven't been sure whether
the current range of products that are available is worth the upgrade. Your point that the
current set of phones could send and receive data at 64 kbs once 1X is in makes them
seem like a more attractive upgrade for now.
