"Every time a tech stock has been attacked on bad news it has quickly rallied back...."

Just one thought of yours that isnt necessarily true. Take a look at CSCO (or any other tech) one year chart and observe the trend line. Those rallies are farther and fewer between. By the looks of it I dont even call $30 a bottom for CSCO. Same goes for SUNW and others.

Your value stocks are only value in the eye of the beholder, and this beholder hasnt been long tech stocks in months except on occaisions.

And I admire companies like CSCO, SUNW...just like you. Except in the past. The new technologies are making it difficult for the CSCO's and SUNW's to keep ahead of the competition and thus more monies are spend on R&D which takes away from sales.

AS....Youre sounding like a broken record. PLEASE consider starting your own thread.

Jane

. . .Everyone!. . . . Hold up a second and read this. . .

We all need to chill some.

Spirit, I realize you are trying to counter balance the posts bySoftechie. But first off, it further confuses matters. Secondly, as much as we appreciate your bullish value play views, once they are stated, there is really no reason to reiterate. Everyone needs to give the readers here the benefit of the doubt for hearing and understanding things the first time. If they don't get it. . .believe me, they WILL ask!! And thirdly, this board needs a bit of a break. My indicator for trouble on the HOME thread is whenever we move into the top of the Hot Subjects.

So let's hold off from Cisco, SUNW or Greenspan. . . no more bull vs. bear debate for a day or two. I suggest everyone kick back and discuss something a bit lighter for a while.

Let's stop and take a breath. . . . and re-focus.

Perhaps the questions on favorite microcaps would make a good change of pace for a day. How about everyone submitting their favorite stock or stocks under $10. . . and why you think they have a chance of outperforming the market.

Thanks, and I hope this is accepted in the spirit it is presented. . .

AS - Just to clarify something

My posts to you are not as you say looking to "fight".
Rather, I guess I have always challenged things in most everything I do. Why? Well, I believe it helps everyone. By enjoining in debate, perhaps I ultimately decide my position is wrong and I should change it. Or perhaps the person I am debating does. In either case, we are both better off for it. And on a public thread like this, a good healthy debate IMO could benefit many lurkers - as giving them both sides of the coin.

Now, all that said, it appears our debate has become quite unproductive - and probably distracting, so I won't challenge your assertions further even though I still disagree with them.

good luck with your investing
