A strong desire for a balanced budget is a typical liberal trait. Wanting to leave something behind for my children is nothing short of left wing extremist. Sometimes I think that you hear almost nothing that I am saying. --- Our agreement on issues is clouded by your distain for past and present Republican administrations... I would love to see a balanced budget too but through spending cuts. I'd take tax simplification over tax cuts. Like you said, likely we will get some cuts and no slow down in spending. Also this year any surplus is likely kaput because of the stock market. Jim
