mark ... we all feel that there is something inherent in perhaps the IRQ assignments with these two FIC boards on the two machines I just built that is causing the hangups.... I've not even tried to get the other three machines I have to be able to access both dialups and the cable ... but both the ABIT and the SOYO boards that I replaced *(due to electrical surge damage during recent ice storm) had triple ISP access... dang, I don't know what the folks do who can't even start to fix a box ... or have GREAT help like I have here on the CL thread ..... if the IRQ stuff doesn't pan out ... I'll reformat both WD harddrives and start over .. as there could be some residual problem areas hidden in there that are causing the difficulty ... for I just stuck the two old ones into the cases with the new boards, CPUs, etc ... hey ... we'll get it cured ..... lol and you're right .. it is nice to have some spare boxes laying about ... of course, I've got enough parts to build a quickie one in a couple of hours ..... ggggg
