Can I replace my computer clock (CMOS) battery without losing the setup information?
Probably. The information held by the CMOS RAM chip will fade in one to two minutes without the backup battery. It is possible to replace the battery in this time. However, don't attempt this unless you have a backup copy of your setup information on paper or disk.
