"Science" constantly reinvents and revises itself, discarding what 'doesn't work'. Goodbye Newton, hello Einstein. Well, YES-- that's exactly what I meant-- science is science. And it sounds as if he's finding things that are causing the Jewish scholars some real problems. But I also said, I am NOT capable of arguing it, as I'm not even a "rank beginner", thank you. The authors are both Jewish, which is interesting.. ...Israel Finkelstein, chairman of the Archaeology Department at Tel Aviv University, who, with archaeology historian and journalist Neil Asher Silberman, has just published a book called "The Bible Unearthed: Archaeology's New Vision of Ancient Israel and the Origin of Its Sacred Text."
