9:07AM Stock funds lost $2.7 bln ($SPX) by Tomi Kilgore
Funds investing primarily in U.S. stocks lost $2.7 billion during the five business days ending Feb. 7, estimates Carl Wittnebert, director of research at Trim Tabs. The S&P 500 ($SPX) lost 1.8 percent during the period. In the previous week, funds took in $5 billion, while the S&P 500 ticked 0.1 percent higher. Bond funds had inflows of $900 million in the lastest week, after getting $400 million in new money the week before.
