You said it was unfair for A, making $500,000 to pay $50,000 in taxes when B, who makes $50,000 only pays $5000.

If that is unfair then it is unfair that either makes more than the other for the same effort (or however you want to define the amount of work each performed.)

This is your reasoning. You can't say it's unfair for the one to pay more and not say it is unfair for one to make more. I do not think either scenario is unfair.

Just trying to understand your logic. You can't have it both ways.
