Good points, all of them. Yet, of all the inconsistencies in the contest's setup, the only thing that really gripes me about the contest is that what was supposedly set up as a competition for SI members is open to only US residents. And that restriction is not even mentioned in the thread header. Nor has it been acknowledged by SI as a problem; nor has there been any indication that it will be fixed in the next changeling financial competition.
