Scumbria, <I was talking about the environment and the budget.>

For the record, I don't think Bush should be touching the ANWR. But I do think Bush will do a great job balancing the budget. And I don't believe his tax cut will cause the sky to fall all-of-a-sudden, despite the frenzied objections from Democrats.

<You guys always bring up the ethics questions, because you don't have a prayer on policy matters.>

Well, it's obvious that Clinton and his supporters don't have a prayer on ethics, which is why they'd rather focus on the questionable ethics of their political opponents than clean up their own.

By the way, I think Clinton has done a fine job running the country as President, but that doesn't excuse Clinton's lack of ethics.

Bush has only been in office for a few weeks, and he has sold off the ANWR in return for campaign contributions

You truely think Bush's position on driling in the ANWR is totally derived from campaign contributions? Even assumeing Bush is acting unwisely on this issue (which I do not) you can act foolishly without being corrupt.

and is pushing a fast track tax cut through to make sure he gets credit for a non-recovery from a non-recession.

His ideological beliefs and the opinions of most of his party have nothing to do with his decision? Are you suggesting not only that a tax cut is a bad idea but the Bush knows this but is trying to cut taxes anyway?

You guys always bring up the ethics questions, because you don't have a prayer on policy matters.

We don't have a prayer at convincing you... Personally I tend to focus on policy matters rather then the ethics esp. since Clinton is no longer president.
