Yes I agree that many of us in western civilization was raised with the teachings of Christianity. However, I did begin with a picture of a loving fair God who loved little children and cared for them. I changed my attitudes and beliefs as I grew and saw that man frequently did not follow his own teachings and that God did not protect me from the raw and unfair treatment at the hands of others.

Many of the evangelists that you see and hear are taught intolerance and close-mindedness and they refuse to look at the true nature of Christ but instead follow man's requirements and rules of the particular religion that they follow. This is not Christianity but is the type that Jesus said he did not come to save because of their self made righteousness.

I would love for the brotherhood of man to accept each others beliefs believing that God is after all, directing the show and I suspect that the ending will be holy and perfect, giving grace to those whom he chooses and justice to those whom he chooses.

The difference in my belief and others is that my Savior died at the hands of those who did not believe that he was the Son of God and he forgave them from the cross of his crusifixion. And one important thing that never happened to Mohammed, Buddah or any of the other holy men of the different religions was that Christ rose from death unto life after being buried for three days. That is what separates Christians from all other religions. Christ died for the sins of the world and overcame sin and death giving us victory over sin and death for all time.

Do you believe in everlasting life after death? If yes, then what is your basis for that belief?
