Al Gore never did strike me as a person to "... achieve on a truly monumental scale". Gore was not a Clinton, you can save your wisecracks, but he did have the ability to rise to the occasion. George W. Bush has already completed all that he intends to accomplish, well maybe a tax cut or some other thing that he finds personally meaningless. He is now his daddies boy, and that is the pinacle of everything he wanted. What does this mean. It means we are hopeless. HOPELESS! There is nothing that W hopes to do whether it be something I think he ought to do or not. When you have a leader without hopes or asperations then they piss away the opportunities. This is exactly what happened to Reagan. He got what he wanted in the first year or two and so let the government and the spending and contras get away from him. W. lost the vote, he has to earn legitimacy. Gore would have aimed to please, and from that we would have got something, what we would have got would depend upon what we asked for. Knowing most of you ungrateful shlubs we would have got another impeachment trial for some trumped up charge. Some day you will look in a mirror and blink. TP
