My husband still balances my checkbook. Using a calculator.

There's an even easier way. Don't balance it at all. I haven't done that in at least 25 years.

I doubt I am - I was just being silly. I remember the first "pocket" calculator I owned - it was a Casio and needed a pretty big pocket. Picked it up in Hong Kong, which was a bargain paradise at the time, for a mere $120. I honestly don't remember if that was HK$ or US$. Either way, it was 1976 $. It wasn't fancy, but it was unusual for the time, as I remember.
