Scumbria Re..Should current economic weakness spread beyond what now appears likely, having a tax cut in place may, in fact, do noticeable good.''"

dailynews.yahoo.com

That is what you call an endorsement of a tax cut? <<<<<<<<

If that isn't an endorsement of a tax cut, pray tell what is it. AG said that we should have a tax cut in place now so that if the economy gets worse later on, we are ready to stimulate it. What is wrong with that? Secondly, that statement was taken out of AG's main speech. AG said even more about it later in the question and answer period in which he said that trying to pay down the debt too fast would throw the economy into a recession. Why are you ignoring that part? That part I haven't been able to find on the internet yet, but I know I heard it as I was watching it.

Scumbria Re.. Greenspan is under tremendous pressure to say something to help Bush out, so he threw Bush and the press dogs a little bone shaped rock to break their teeth on. <<<<<<

Sorry, I didn't respond to the last part of your post. What pressure? Did GW have a gun against AG's head during their meeting. Did GW threaten his wife; did he kidnap AG's grandchildren. Could you provide a link? AG has been federal reserve chairman for 16 yrs. Why would he succomb to pressure now; especially to a person you consider a complete idiot. Are you trying to say GW was too smart for AG, and conned him into endorsing the tax cuts. AG has always done what he thought was best. Just because that coincides with GW's tax cut plan doesn't make it bad.
