Personally,I think you were wrong posting Cobalt Blue's real name and city of residence on SI, but on the other hand, I will bet that Cobalt was thrilled to see her name and address in the WSJ. This raises the question of who gave Cobalt Blue's real name to the WSJ. They could not have gotten it by reading this thread that Cobalt started. If it was Cobalt who gave her real name to the WSJ she doesn't have a legitimate bitch. If someone wants to hide in a cave they they should have enough sense not to poke their head out, lest someone sees them.

Members are entitled to choose the identity under which they post messages. They are also entitled to the privacy of that identity.

Although this information might have been published elsewhere it was not made public here on SI by the member in question. It also seems clear that the deleted post was intended to test the TOU and to incite "debate".

elmatador,

I don't know if you're dumb or just playing dumb, but whether or not you realize it, you have violated a simple trust that exists between posters regardless of which side of any given issue they favor. You have amply demonstrated to me that you are not trustworthy. Though I don't know you, and to the best of my knowledge, we've never exchanged a post before, I now find that you simply cannot be trusted. I have no faith in you.

Carolyn has, to some extent, supported you though she has not condoned your now deleted post. I have exchanged posts with Carolyn in the past and found her to be a lovely person, quite intelligent and trustworthy. When (or if) you return to SI, you have many fences to mend. I suggest you start with an apology to her for your "Et tu Brute" remark. That comment was uncalled for, in my opinion.
