The horrors of the government being net sellers rather than net buyers of bonds were with us through most of the Clinton administration. It seems a bit disingenuous to predict an Apocalypse based on that phenomenon.

The day the Democrats come forward and say our fiscal problems are not the result of too little taxation, but of too much spending, and mean it, and are willing to really act on it, bland will happily give them both his vote and all the credit in the world.
