You're right about the short term nature of hit and run profit taking... That's what is usually seen when there is a lot of uncertainty... The next rate cut should begin to have a more positive effect on the market... Most people are expecting a 1/4 point cut... A 1/2 point cut could send us off to the races... A 1/4 point cut keeps us in the bottoming process with a slight positive bias... There are still hundreds of thousands of people out of work who were working six months ago... So, until those people are working again there will be a depressing effect on the economy... The key will be how soon they are back to work...
