Heinz- The guy I was thinking about from '82 was not Polster...I'll keep thinkin'...

Although this is one scary market with lots of scary stock charts.....it did occur to me today that there is one real parallel between now and March '00: Then, bulls were saying Greenspan (interest rates hikes) were irrelevant...."this time, things are different".....now, bears are saying interest rate cuts are irrelevant.."this time, things is different".....hmmm...

Greenspan lost the S on his chest? (BTW- I do agree that inventory overhang is the main problem here, but I am not so easy to dismiss the cumulative effect of massive coupon/repos action...the Fed, Greenie, seems pretty determined here to sacrifice the inflation alter for growth....)
