Heinz thanks for the input on AU, the dividend yield for the company seems attractive though, plus the prudentbear has a big holding in it, what are the odds that they will reduce the hedge once gold price creeps up, either way their gold reserve would be worth a lot right?

I saw that. I'm not so sure about the methodology used, though. NDX is cap weighted, so any realistic PE ratio would have to adjust earnings by cap....and I'm not sure that's how they came up with their number (sounds like they equally weighted "earnings" of all 100 companies)

Maybe the author should go to Schwab for the answer, as their TV commercials feature sports stars who taunt those who "don't even know how to calculate a PE ratio"<VBG>
