You need to do some home work ...

You say a company does not put forth effort in a tiny market.

Smart companies (companies that a vision for the future) bet on potential future evolutionary markets in case it takes off. Unfortunately EMC , does not have the vision, they have a product that worked great in the 90's, with the rapid growth of the data storage, EMC has become a niche player in the data center.

They have an architecture that is confusing - Clarion , Celerra, Symmetrix.
The Symmetrix sales folks will not sell Celerra, because they can't make any money...

Why are they entering the NAS market today, because they are *?.!! scared about NTAP.

The reason they have so many support people, is because they need it.. Whey you support 20 different platforms, 100 different operating systems, you need an army to manage it..

When customers don't have any money to spend, there is alternate vendor, that is NTAP..

EMC is a storage commodity player... good luck
