Well.. not sure what went wrong here ;). Let's start over...

I thought, and think, that AMD should work much, much closer with either Sun or Alpha. Going as far as to fab their processors. I think that AMD could, with some investment, be a much better choice than (esp.) Ti. I also think AMD could use Alpha's brand name and it's evident that Alpha could use AMD's infrastructure (e.g. the 750 chipset). Design-wise, I also think there are a lot of synergies - especially with alpha, but also with Sun.

Sorry if I sounded snippy. That was not my intention.
