The point I was making, which I think you concede, is that just as I was judging X based on my values (which is what you accused me of), you were judging me based on your values.

You think I was nasty in calling X disturbed for her post. I respect your right to criticize met based on your values.

But I also ask you to respect my right to criticize others based on my values. IMO any person who can write that they have no problem with slavery IS disturbed. I think they lack a fundamental element of empathy which IMO is essential to mental health.

So yes, I do think any person who can think there is nothing wrong with people being enslaved is disturbed. I'm sorry if you think that's nasty. Maybe it is, though I think not by the definition of nasty in my dictionary which would require it to be "highly objectionable" or "vicious, spiteful or ugly."

But tell me -- do you really think somebody who believes there is nothing morally wrong with enslaving people is emotionally or mentally healthy?
