hi brian, i hope we can give you some things to try that you haven't tried yet. sounds like hardware prob at this point, based on your description and on what you've tried. here are a few ideas gleaned from various forums and from my experience.... 1) check all your power connections to the drives. be sure they are in good and tight. ill fitting power connections on a hard drive or cd-rom or elsewhere can be troublesome. while you're inside the case, reseat the cards and make sure everything fits snug. 2) in case you've added memory, make sure your memory matches in spec. no manufacturer has recommended mixing memory. most want you to have matched memory. it is better not to mix two different types of ram. stay with one type. 3) whenever a problem such as your occurs, you could try to get the system to run stable by removing everything but cpu ram and video card on the board, then adding one device until you find the culprit. i have not gone this route myself, but have read of others having success doing so. 4) check device manager for conflicts. right now that's all i've got. hope it helps. let us know :) mark
