Strinque,

I have just finished building my first AMD. Similar to yours.

What OS are you using? Did you build it yourself? And if yes, what was the sequence you put all the part together?

I have discovered that my (very highly rated) Abit board has some strange twists to deal with.

Also, do you know how to check your interrupts?

You will get the help here you need, if not from me then from someone with more experience with AMD.

Overall, I'm not too impressed with AMD yet, but I'm still tweakin.

Good Luck

TH

Did a program come with your computer that checks the temperature of the CPU. Those Athlon's run very very hot, and just possibly you have a cooling problem.

I'd follow mr.mark's suggestion first but if that fails I'd be happy to send you the uninstal.exe file and the readme.txt from my HP 5100c. It's only 202kbs. Since you've already removed some of the files it may not work but pm me with your email address if you want me to send it to you.

ps: I have scanned it for virus' but would still suggest you do the same before opening
