Bob Brinker and Don Hays, if anyone cares. I like to trade volatile tech issues within the context of their market timing calls, and that strategy has done rather well for me. I readily admit to being too stupid to try to forecast future market direction myself. Both these newsletters are projecting cataclysmic new lows for the NASDAQ, bottoming later this year (at the earliest) and perhaps into 2003 at the latest. Yes, many on this board have been saying the same thing. Of course there will be relief rallies along the way. One of the newsletters suggests that we are currently in the midst of a relief rally that should carry the NASDAQ over 3000 by June-ish, before the big tank-o-la. At any rate, I have been attempting to build a watchlist of "day-after" tech stocks. Babies that have been thrown out with the bathwater, stocks which despite the current recession haven't missed much of a beat regarding earnings, or will be poised to explode on the upside during economic recovery. Here's my list so far, of course I wouldn't actually own then now, except maybe for a quick trade: SCMR, PMCS, BRCM, NTAP, NUFO, AMCC, PKTR, JNPR, JDSU, ONIS, PHTN, TXCC, VTSS, ITWO, AVNX, KLAC, NANO, GLW, PMCS. I'm looking for some more relatively small fast growing "shapers of tomorrow". Any ideas for my list? Remember, these are stocks that you probably would shy away from now due to valuation, but may present compelling risk-reward situations in a NASDAQ bloodbath in the near future. The obvious big-cap's: AMAT, ORCL, etc. not necessary to include. Warp
