Wolf... that's even more frightening, if his wife holds equities..... Makes me suspect that HUGE injection of liquidity to handle the Asian crisis..... precedent, of course, to the gigantic bubble in our equity markets.......requiring about half as much Fed action as we actually got.......to be corrected, I suppose by overdoing the liquidity going into the fall after they note that they didn't quite handle the situation in the first quarter..... at which point the spouse just about HAS to sell her stock, doesn't she?
Bill Fleckenstein has been bearish as far back as I can remember...although the bearishness can be selective -- he is a hedge fund manager, after all. But he's a real fresh wind through the stalls of dead fish that keep crying "Alive, alive, O"
as the decay creeps swiftly though their wares --- dontcha think?

Wolf... How far ahead are you looking to see "the other side of the valley".? We're hearing folks talking up a near term rebound, since many of the techs are no longer going down on bad news. I'm very suspicious, actually. Something doesn't smell right. I'm hearing a lot of news about companies cutting back, or delaying plans --- that sentiment change has not been molified by more "FedSpeak" from the V.B. ( Vapid Gasbag if you are a Fleckenstein devotee).....
PS I remain optimistic in my own uniquely weird way, but the whole picture just isn't jelling for me.... the road look arduous ahead -- suddenly.... Where do you see the bad news easing up?

Hi Wolf,

I've heard the same about the wifey pooh. Maybe if Al sleeps on the couch awhile and falls off on his head he will come too.

As far as Flenkstein he is definitely a permabear. Just like Joe, Abby, and Frank are permabulls. There has got to a balanced act somewhere out there.

Not to be patronizing, but I think you know plenty Wolfee.
