You are not thinking clearly Karen. That is the party line, but it mitigates against your position, not for it. Turn it around and look how it is used in the area of capital punishment. Just the possibility that an innocent person might be executed is enough not to allow for the death of even the most blatantly guilty to be executed. This really is a very strong argument against abortion.

I would say the opposite, at least for me.

If you aren't sure whether the baby is human or not, I prefer to err on the side of assuming it is rather than assuming it is not. The price of being wrong is much greater if you kill innocent life than if you spare non-life.
