They must have lost some huge contracts. CC call in number busy, no webcast I can find. Guess we'll just have to wait...

Wayne ---The telecomunications industry for the past year has been on the skids . Take a look at the stock of ATT,WCOM,FON,SPRINT PCS , NOK , ERRICSON , Motrola ---all have been cut in half or more . Did not include LU due to it being more self inflicted . Basically their is a depression going on in the telecomunications industry and the FED cap it off with the interest rates increase . The industry is partially to blame with the high prices they have been paying for spectrum ---if the business model does not make sense then you should not pay the price for the excess spectrum .
The Fed has kill the one ally they had which was productivity . Productivity is below the inflation rate at present thus causing stagflation ( which is a slow death recession ) . The only reason productivity has not dropped off the radar screen is that thousands of people are losing their jobs and the companies are expecting the remaining workers to pick up the slack but even this wears out in a while ( would loved to have a total number of the job cuts for the past three months ---between 500,000 and a million high paying jobs ) . Well Greenspan has no idea what the hell is going on ---Obivious by his testimony the other day before Congress . Will ride this disaster out ---telecomunication is the future .
A couple of questions do bother me :
How could we lose that much business in that short of a period from the last earning announcement ?
Why are we spending 3 billion dollars for a pump lase factory if their is no demand ?

BEST WISHES
BILL
