Thanks for the link to the free anti-virus program. I installed InoculateIT last week, and today it found a suspicious file in a program I had downloaded. InoculateIT uninstalled the program from my system without further ado.

The detecting of this possible virus occurred when the program had just been installed, and was auto starting out of the installation process. I checked the setup program and found nothing. I notice that the author of the article you shared turns off the virus protection when installing new programs. Do you suppose this was a false reading from InoculateIT? Is it common to install programs with virus protection turned off after checking the install file?
