meat - CSCO - that's a low blow! almost as bad as my LU...

Today, I hold 25% of the stake I had in DELL in 1998, and 20% of the CPQ stake. And I did manage to get out in the mid 40s on both stocks. Not that I did a whole lot better with some of the investments I transferred to, although CIEN and TYC turned out pretty well.

I actually have been trying to have the stock called away and have sold near the money calls several times recently, but did not get called. Partly bad timing on my part. I have taken a fair amount of money out of the market all together and put it into land - so far that has turned out OK too.

While it is true that other management teams have managed to give silly guidance, that's not been true of most of the issues I hold. And it was not true of DELL up until the last year or two.

How do you feel about the DELL denial of layoffs only a week ago? hard to explain, in my book.

I was on the call today and liked what I heard-I believe Dell is a good buy here and is unstoppable. I also believe AG is one of the single most over rated personalities in my life and I just transited 69 on Jan 23.PS: It is very strange how Time Warner owned stations try to knock DELL down with the negative spin.If you think for one minute A.Kumar doesn't have an agenda I'll kiss the educated horse.DELL is doing well in some areas -big company wins-server growth -storage rack units-etc-no ^&%$(&*&* mention at all!I am sick of the negative and I believe the market hit bottom yesterday.I like this management team and the fact that MD is now attending the quarterly calls and seems to,be back in the saddle.
