Thank-you for that glimpse into the workings of AI, It was very informative. Perhaps I was a little hard on the organization, however I believe that unborn children are being painfully tortured and killed and that they are at least as, if not more deserving of the same type of protection that POC's get. As a matter of fact they are POC's (prisoners, not products, of conception) they have no one to turn to and nowhere to go. The question has been raised here, and no one has yet given a remotely satisfying answer, as to why an unborn child should be denied the status, and thereby the rights, of a fully human being. Let me ask you this. If a country had a policy of allowing only one child over the age of five to live, and all other children would have to be killed before they reached five years of age, would AI only speak out about the parents who were forced to kill their children, while having no opinion about the parents that killed their kids by their own choice? That's what AI's policy sounds like to me, and that's why I said they did not come off looking too good in my eyes. I know they do a lot of great stuff, but when a policy, takes precedence over the lives of innocent children, then perhaps it's time to re-evaluate that policy. PS, Sorry I did not get back to you on the question of sentience. I got busy and forgot to. I think, as you have probably gathered by now that the real question to ask is not,"is a zygote sentient?" rather is it a human being. Since the question of human life beginning at conception is not a matter of philosophical speculation but a biological fact. Since it is impossible to determine the exact point at which one can definitely say "this is a human being, worthy of rights where as, five minutes ago it was not, then the right to life should be considered to exist from the moment of conception. Have a great evening. Greg
