el matador ---If NT is serious and does not want go the way of LU it will do the following : 1) cut an additional 15,000 headcount out of the legacy business and not try the spinoff tried by LU . This will translate straight to the bottom line and is a realization that the legacy systems are a thing of the past 2) Increase R & D dramatically on the optic ( Photonic ) side of the business to set the pace for the future of telecomunications .
