Do you think Gephardt would go for this deal? No tax cut- AND - freeze spending at 2001 levels till the debt is paid off .

Would he go for it? Hell no he wouldn't. He couldn't care less about the debt. Bringing it up is just a ploy to prevent tax cuts so we can ratchet up Federal control of the GDP.

He, the democrats, and half the Republicans are basically dishonest, devious, socialist pigs.

Bush43 learned from Bush41's mistakes. That's for sure.

YES!!! Like the coming tax cuts, a huge step forward for the economy. Helping US out of the Clinton-Gore recession and stagflation. Should help the budget too. For the children and grandchildren.

...A White House official who briefed reporters aboard Air Force One said two of the orders restored rules that were put in place during the administration of Bush's father and revoked by President Clinton. Bush was in Mexico for a one-day meeting with Mexican President Vicente Fox.

The official said the orders would:

Require federal contractors to post a notice telling workers they have a right under a 1988 U.S. Supreme Court ruling not to pay portions of their dues that sponsor political activities. Unions are a prime source of money and grass-roots organizing for Democrats.

Revoke the "project labor agreement," which requires contractors in many federally financed projects to be unionized. The provision, employed at the discretion of states, is an issue in an expensive proposal to replace the Woodrow Wilson Bridge on heavily traveled Interstate 95 between Virginia and Maryland.

Dissolve the National Partnership Council, a Clinton organization that sought to get government agencies and unions to resolve their differences.

Revoke a Clinton policy of job protection for employees of contractors at federal buildings when the project is awarded to another contractor.

The White House official, speaking on condition of anonymity, said Bush believes unionized and nonunion contractors should compete for federal projects, and that the change could save taxpayers money....
