HB, I didn't invest 100% of my money into the S&P at its high, so that is a meaningless number for me. I have no need for cash right now, nor in 33 years, so selling at the top is also not something that I wish I had done. As for common sense, I am sure that you consider yourself endowed with it. That, in a roundabout way, is equivalent to stating that you agree with those who agree with you. As for history, over a 50 year investment horrizon, DCA into index funds have outperformed 99.9% for all other investment strategies. You are ignoring history HB, not me -BGR.
