important silver lining: u.s. inventories have barely risen - showing that industry is in good control ...or rather, showing that inventories are already crammed up to the rafters, and that increasing it any more would require building bigger warehouses, which would cost more than just dumping the excess production in the river. But only the chemical companies would do that. yes, we are in recession, but it won't be long - say most of this year. I'm curious why you say that. I would expect a recession following the biggest baddest bull run the history of modern economics to be followed by more than a few months of mild recession. Dave
