Dave Ellen--I'm sure your dad was a great and frugal guy, but that's not Gates/Buffett's point--their point is that he was the one who earned the money, not you, and unless we're going to have an aristocracy (as opposed to a meritocracy) in this country (which MY ancestors fled Europe to avoid), then we need a stringent inheritance tax.
