I have been watching the brokerage ads on TV with half an eye towards wondering what they mean with respect to the market in general. At the highs there was a broker ad every other ad it seemed. Now there are not that many, but the pace has only slightly dropped off by casual appearances.

Don't really have a clue how it will pan out, the advertisements that is. More at the bottom as brokerages try to get clients and money in the door, or less because they know everyone is so incredibly pissed to have watched their net worth's decline by greater than 50%. Beats me, but it sure seems as if we have witnessed something on a market wide scale that we might not see again for a long time.
