Discussions of family farms are very timely for a couple of reasons - right now, I am reading that small farmers are having a hard time - and there is also the issue of the inheritance tax. I was appalled to read that Bill Gates and George Soros oppose abolishing the inheritance tax - I know for a fact that Bill Gates is setting up a foundation so that his wife and children will benefit from his wealth without having to pay taxes. How would he feel if he could not do that? I wonder how he would feel if Microsoft would have to be broken up and sold to pay the inheritance taxes when he died?
