Where in the constitution does it say we take money or other property from someone simply because they have it? There is a reason why taxes were originally flat rated.

DMA--if you don't see the difference between taking the last 10 bucks in a guys pants when he dies and taxing the estate of a multi-zillionaire (not only to help finance the government, but also to ensure that we don't end up living in an aristocracy), then there's probably not much we have say to each other....

I'm glad that the 120 millionaires who signed Gates' petition see the difference, however....

Why not lower it. If a guys dies with 10 bucks in his pants why not take it? What's the difference in principle?
For that matter, why wait till someone dies? Every 10 years, confiscate half of everyone's wealth. What's the difference in principle?

Why not skip this preliminary bs and jump to the final goal and adopt the constitution of the Soviet Union?
