Aggie--well, there won't be any tears on my pillow if you have to pay a modest chunk of money in the estate tax for wealth that you inherited based upon the work of others who came before you (not work you did yourself), just as their won't be any because you have to pay taxes here because you enjoy the privilege of U.S. citizenship.

As for "taxation without representation," I take it that phrase means you support statehood for the residents of the District of Columbia, who have exactly zero members in the House or the Senate who can vote their interests, and whose number of souls exceeds that of several states....

And a flat tax is one of the worst ideas I've ever heard--bad enough that even the current GOP leadership refuses to push it (including Dubya Bush, who defeated the the chief proponent of it: Steve Forbes).
