When Carville was advising Clinton in '92, one of his famous lines was "It's the economy, stupid," meaning that Bush was most vulnerable for the sad state of economic conditions at the time. Go down to your local video store and see if they have a copy of "The War Room" (1993). It's a pretty good documentary on the presidential campaign of '92. Carville is featured (as himself) prominently in the film.
