good post Jack.

Besides, I don't want to let Roth off easy with his poor forecasting and handling of wall st. crowd but let's face one reality.

IF NT and Roth had forecasted lot LOWER revenue and profit after their Q4 result, do we really BELEIVE that the NT price TODAY would be any higher?

Yes, we would not have seen NT drop this past week but they would have dropped in their last Q4 conference call. For long-term holders, the reality does not change.

It is disconcerting that Roth & his executives did not seem to see the pending slowdown but that doesn't NECESSARILY make them poor managers of a high-tech company.

In the long-run, if Roth can continue to acquire & develop cutting-edge networking technlogy and implement them efficiently, the stock price will take care of itself.

I guess the only caveat to the above position is that perhaps NT would have saved some headache and capital if they 'saw' the sudden drastic shortfall in revenue a year ago by taking the necessary restructuring EARLIER....but again this is all timing issue and not neccessarily going to make or break NT in the long-run.
