A focus on valuation has kept me out of them for the last 9 months (except for QCOM bought in the 60s, and MSFT in the 60s). Being out of them has been the right place to be, during that entire time. Only now are valuations getting reasonable, IMO. For instance, I am (only now) getting interested in buying back the CSCO I sold in 1999 when it hit a PE of 100.

I consider the events of the last 12 months as proof that ValuationAlwaysMatters, even with the highest-quality stocks.
