The Hummingbird Grill is on St. Charles, the streetcar goes right by it. When did you live in New Orleans? Have we had this conversation before? I moved there in 1975, and out to Jefferson Parish, not too far from Oschner Hospital, in 1985, and then relocated to NOVA in 1988. Where did you work in the Quarter? I used to work at Dixie Forms, corner of Julia and Magazine, before they cleaned everything up for the World's Fair, and there would be drunk men passed out all over the place, in the parks, and on the sidewalks. When I came in to work early Sunday morning to get the Figaro ready for the press, I'd have to be careful where I stepped.
