Get used to it. The list of Bush-isms is starting to gain ground on the list of Quayle-isms.

It seems that US planes are attacking control centers that directed AA fire against US aircraft patroling the "no fly zone".
Tim,

YES, CAPT AMERIKA HAS STARTED A WAR THREE WEEKS INTO HIS ADMINISTRATION. I AM SO GLAD YOU LIKE YOUR PRESIDENT.

TED <<<<

Tim stated simply that the US aircraft were attacking radar control centers that direct fire against our planes flying in the no fly zone. Are you trying to say that our pilots flying in the no fly zone have no right to retaliate against their attackers? How do you know the retaliation wasn't appropriate? How do you know the Air Force itself didn't ask Bush for permission to take out the radar sites? Or do you think GW called up the Air Force brass and said,"Hey ,I need to start a war. Lets go after Saddam."? Tell me, which scenario do you think happened. And if the Air Force requested permission for the raids and you denied it, and then some pilots were shot down, how presidential would you look then? I would suggest to you that you had no idea Friday if the raid was appropriate or not. You had no idea of who asked for the raids, the exact reason for the raids, how much danger our pilots were exposed to, and the costs of the operation. You knew nothing more than what you heard on the news. And from that you could deem it unappropriate? Tell me how you knew that Friday. Indeed, tell me how you can even be so sure of it even today?

And I am threatened and disturbed by the lack of finess he has shown to date when it comes to international relations and interactions.<<<<<<<

You are threatened????? By who? GW hasn't even been in office 30 days yet. How could he possibly have done anything that threatening to you yet. It seem to me the only people being threatened here are the pilots.

Finally, I was surprised and disappointed that in this recent sub incident he had a spokesperson from defense contact Japan's prime minister rather than himself, and that the prime minister was not kept updated but rather was learning new aspects of the incident from the American press>>>>

That statement really makes sense. You say GW had a spokesperson from defense contact Japans's prime minister, and fill him in, yet the prime minister wasn't kept updated. Why not? And do you really think GW knew more about the situation than the dept of defense. Isn't that where GW would get his information?

<<<BTW this is not a complaint against international relations, but rather I thought it was sad commentary on his lack of senstivity? compassion? courtesy? by handling the incident in this way.<<<<<<<<

So now you are an expert of foreign relations? All countries have standard operating procedures. The state dept normally would handle this type of thing. Should GW have contacted Japans prime minister personally? I have no idea. That is Colin Powells and Condolesa Rices's job. You can bet, if they would have asked GW or any other president to call personally, he would have. That normally is a decision which would be made by state. Do you have any info which would lead you to believe either asked GW to call personally and he turned them down?
