RE: InfoSpace Partnership w/ Vodaphone

Levy as you've posted, a short 10+ months ago (over six months BEFORE the "merger" with GNET), INSP issued the following incredible press release: infospace.com.

The first line of the 4/5/00 INSP press release
BOLDLY states:
"Launch Marks the First of More than 24 countries Served by Vodaphone AirTouch for which InfoSpace will serve as the Platform Delivery Internet Services."

Well...I came across the following email in a RB post today. Don't know if it's true, but if it is, then it confirms what's been said by you and others on this board. And if it's true, one question I have would be, "WHO in INSP management knew this information, and WHEN did they know it"?:

RE: Infospace Partnership

Thank you for your recent enquiry. The only information that I can confirm is that Vizzavi Europe Limited (JV with Vivendi) is developing its own platform and has not and does not intend to use Infospace. However, Infospace is currently being used in Australia and this will shortly be replaced by the Vizzavi (the Global Internet Platform - not the same as Vizzavi Europe Limited) platform. For further information on Vizzavi, please visit their website at: vizzavi.com

Please do not hesitate to contact me via email if I can be of further assistance.

Yours sincerely
