Just based on what I see at Costco and Home Depot, the economy is still going strong around here. Always packed. Movie theaters and Blockbuster always packed, too. I had a bad feeling last weekend in Merrifield Garden Center, there was almost no inventory on the floor, but I asked about it and was told that this was due to refinishing the floors. I'm going to keep my open on that one, fixing up the yard is definitely discretionary spending.
