Meanwhile, in case anybody wants to discuss the original topic of this thread, I will point out your message elsewhere, Message 15384382 , which seems like good news. I was somewhat surprised by the public support from anti-abortion forces, given the wal-mart suppression effort on the same drug, but maybe there's some hope. I imagine this will come up on the federal level, where I am less hopeful. I don't think the HHS secretary is sympathetic.

Also on the federal level, there was this story from a couple days back:

I don't think the HHS secretary is particularly sympathetic on that one, either. We'll see, though. I'd guess the stem cell research might be the first thing to come to a head at the federal level in that general area.
