I suspected that type of response would come, I did not mean to mislead. Understand that the parameters for W-CDMA are cast, the issue is not whether QCOM can invent the chip that that works within the parameters set (they have), the issue is whether the GSM camp can master the cdma technology required(they have not). An analogy would be: I can "invent" a runway capable of handling a million pound aircraft, can the manufacturers "invent" a million pound aircraft that can fly? Jim
