Ted, I only read the part that Amy copied in her post. She suggested that I read everything else on CNN.com before coming to conclusions.

Anyway, I guess the point I was originally trying to make got lost in the argument, which was the different standards of judgement used for the Cold War actions of both the Soviet Union and America. If America was overly paranoid, so was the Soviet Union.
